Clothing & Equipment

If you are in need of maternity clothes or baby outfits, we have a special room set aside just for you. The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is blessed by generous community donations that allow us to share these items at no cost.

Our clothing room includes gently used maternity wear and baby clothing, along with blankets and other small accessories that help you prepare for your baby’s arrival. Items are available as supplies allow and are provided free of charge as part of our commitment to offer practical help and compassionate care.

You are welcome to visit the Centre to browse and select what you need. Our team will be happy to assist you and make sure you feel supported and cared for during your visit.

How to Donate Clothing and Equipment

Thank you for thinking of the Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre as a place to share your new or gently used items. Your generosity helps us provide practical support to women, men, and families in our community who are facing unexpected pregnancies.

Our donation program depends on items that are clean, safe, and in good working condition. Please review the following guidelines before dropping off your donations.

Accepted Items — New or Gently Used

  • For safety reasons, the following items can only be accepted if brand new and in their original packaging:

    • Cribs (unassembled, still in the box)

    • Car seats (still in the box)

    • Playpens and play yards (still in the box)

    • Bassinets (still in the box)

    • Breast pumps (new, unopened)

    • Crib mattresses (new, still sealed in plastic)

  • We gratefully accept:

    • Baby clothing (sizes preemie to 2T)

    • Maternity clothing

    • Baby shoes

    • Baby toys (no small parts or choking hazards)

    • Seasonal items such as snowsuits, hats, mittens, and summer clothing

    • Blankets, receiving blankets, and accessories

    • Bathtubs and potties

    • Strollers (2015 or newer; must include all parts and pass inspection by a team member)

    • Exercisers and high chairs with trays (must be inspected by a team member)

  • For safety and hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept:

    • Used jolly jumpers

    • Used car seats

    • Used cribs

    • Used mattresses

    • Used breast pumps

    This list is not exhaustive. Items that are damaged, missing parts, stained, or have strong odours (including smoke, perfume, mildew, or pet hair) will be respectfully declined. Some of our team members have allergies, and we want to ensure that all donations are safe for them to handle and safe for the families who receive them.

  • All donations must:

    • Be recently cleaned, washed, or sanitized

    • Include all necessary parts and hardware

    • Be free of stains, pet hair, and odours

    • Meet current safety standards and not be subject to recalls

How to Donate

Donations can be dropped off at the Centre during regular office hours. To make sure a team member is available to inspect and receive your items, please contact us to arrange a convenient drop-off time.
